WEEKEND GAME PLAN
Friday · Reflect and reset (20 minutes)
Right after school, jot down three key wins from the week and three content gaps. This primes your brain to focus on the right stuff. Send a quick update to a friend or parent—external accountability makes Saturday feel less lonely.
Saturday · Deep work & exam workouts
Use the 2-1 rhythm: two focused sessions, one lighter consolidation session.
- Session 1 (09:00): Re-teach the topic aloud or via voice note.
- Session 2 (11:00): Attempt a past-paper extract under timed conditions.
- Session 3 (14:00): Summarise mistakes, rewrite flashcards, or film a short explainer for yourself.
Switch locations between sessions—balcony, dining table, library—to keep energy high.
Sunday · Integrate & look ahead
Start with a 30-minute “mock marking” session where you grade Saturday’s work using coloured pens. Then practise retrieval by answering five questions without notes. Wrap up with planning: note Monday’s top priority, pack your bag, and lay out clothes to reduce morning decision fatigue.
Bonus: Reset rituals
Weekend success depends on quality breaks. Schedule movement (walk, sport, stretching) and social time upfront, otherwise it will eat the slots you reserved for studying. Remember: a good break has a clear start and end; tell someone when you’ll be back at your desk.
